Description

Slow Sodium tablets contain sodium chloride in a slow-release formulation designed to gradually replenish sodium levels in the body. They are used in patients with sodium deficiency (hyponatraemia) or in those who require increased sodium intake due to certain medical conditions or medications.

The slow-release design helps maintain more stable sodium levels while reducing the risk of stomach irritation that can occur with standard salt tablets. Slow Sodium may be prescribed in conditions such as adrenal insufficiency, autonomic dysfunction, or alongside medicines that affect fluid and electrolyte balance.

Slow Sodium tablets are taken orally and are available on prescription following clinical assessment.
